Object of the project

  • The project will expand existing research and innovation capacities in the field of plasma spraying, assist in fulfilling of the above-mentioned strategy by providing resources and capacities for the development of new products and applications of protective coatings applied using the plasma technologies to increase corrosion resistance, improve tribological properties, increase refractory and heatproof properties. The results of the R&D activities will be commercialized in the future in particular by customers from the power engineering and aircraft industry, and manufacturers of transportation means.

Object of the project

  • The main object of the project is the application of modern thermal spraying technology as an alternative surface protection for rail vehicles components, taking into account the extension of lifecycle, one-off and unit costs, and the impact of the application of surface treatment on the environment. The components will be selected from various types of rail vehicles, in particular engines, electric one-floor units, and trams depending on the mode of load, impact of external influences, shape complexity, and more criteria.

Object of the project

  • Under the proposed projects the project participants intend to transform their know-how into development of advanced systems for online measurement and analyses of operational load of structures, for which virtual numeric models will be established in parallel. More accurate information about real operation of machines and validated numerical models allow for faster, safer, and more reliable draft of new vehicle prototypes, machines, and other industrial equipment.
