Recently, our company VZU Plzen has carried a complete renovation of the surface of the attachment suckers at the Kamýk hydroelectric power plant, which was significantly damaged by corrosion and many years of erosion by solid particles contained in river water. Based on many years of experience, the Center for Surface Treatments chose the composition of thermally sprayed multilayer coating. There was a so-called Sealer applied at the top of the coating surface, ensuring additional sealing effect against any penetration of river water in to the base material.
Our designed surface protection will certainly resist the influence of aggressive environment throughout the whole life of the suction adapter.
